BUUUUUT, iof Clemson was as adept at cheating as the chickens have always claimed, we wouldn't be running behind in the NIL era. The schools that have ALWAYS cheated(SoCal, Miami,A&M,UGA ) have hit the ground running in the NIL era.

I remember when they had Lou Holtz as their HC. He ran an honest, wholesome, academically oriented program. He never even considered cheating, much less did it. Other coaches would come from near and far to copy his model for how a clean program should be run.----NOT!
