Whats the concensus on our current chances? Not the greatest comments for us vs the South Carolina comments but I would still think we would be in a good spot? 80%?

Having him and Mullen potentially on the outside as 2- 6'2" and 190lb CBs. Wouldnt suck for a couple years. Not to mention Muse, Simmons, Wallace (add Okudah, Bell, Avery mix) on the backend. Talk about size.

i have a feeling it won't be long before it's confirmed that T-Rob is still plying his trade the same ole way... $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Terrell's always had them in this. Only thing really positive was that he happened to make it to campus there and that was the reason for the bump.
"In" is a relative term...this is a race for 2nd place

Yall sleeping on Muschamp and TRob. I can agree with yall that Clemson has the nicer campus and a much better team (right now) but if Hugh Freeze can get 5* players to come to Oxford Mississippi I see no reason why SC should'nt be able to recruit big name talents.

"much better team (right now)"...lol...yeah, can't tell you are a coot. *sarcasm*
...other than 5 years (which was now 3 years ago), much better most of the time...like 25 year deficit better. http://www.winsipedia.com/clemson/vs/south-carolina
Keep buying into that "coots only feel that way" hype....you'll be sorely disappointed when that coach that couldn't even make it in the best recruiting state in the country fails yet again in an even worse state of recruiting. If he couldn't bring them in and do much with it in FL, what makes you think it'll be any better in Columbia, SC?

Dang why all the animosity cant we just get along lol. I like Clemson too Im just a Carolina fan. But the reason USC fell off is because Spurrier and his staff stopped recruiting. I can guarantee you that Muschamp will improve the talent at USC. And don't believe all the hype about the state of South Carolina not having enough good football prosepects. There's more than enough instate talent for both schools to be elite

but the reality is that both Clemson and your friends down the road HAVE TO recruit elite talent from outside of the state to remain top 15 in the country and compete for even conference championships. SC does have talent but not nearly enough for even one of these programs to be elite. Who is the elite SC QB this year? the elite RB? the elite WR(s)? the elite DB(s)? the elite LB(s)? the elite OL(s)? the numbers just don't work out because of population primarily; the percentages kill the raw numbers... and that's not to say that we don't have elite talent at all, just that SC talent alone can't sustain one D-1 school at an elite level let alone two...

And you're basing your "both schools can be elite" comment on what? Out of the 100+ year existence of shamecock football, when have they ever been elite? Just because Spurrier gave you 3 good years does not mean you have arrived or are even in the conversation of becoming relevant. Wake Forest had a run of 3 good years, so did Kansas. The USuCk football program is on par with those programs and will return to being doormats (really already have) just like those teams. Dont kid yourself.

That's a Myth,outright lie.

Slurrier stopped recruiting ? Check out his last few classes, Top 20.
Keep telling yourself that. He just learned that if there wasn't an abundance of in state talent or Legacy recruits that had been raised #####,USuC can't, has never, won't compete for star recruits out of state that have other option (good grades and no Red Flags). Why do you think so many recruits with border line grades didn't make it in ? It's the pool that they have to fish in. The amount of 2-3 stars already taken this year proves, that the new staff of recruiters are already learning their place now that they are at UsuC. Just the facts.
Right now, with a class full of 2-3 stars , all they have to hope for is picking up a few(maybe) because other teams have filled their rosters. Again, just the facts.

Spurrier did stop recruiting those last 3 years if you get a chance read that article about him and Raequan McMillian. But I hear you all's points although they're biased points lol but yeah Clemson has been historically better, better campus, uniforms etc. But all Im saying is I wouldn't count out Carolina for Terrell and Jamyest Williams.

Terrell is #ALLIN , Jamyest is a Coot by default.

JW is good, Clemson has just moved on to taller DB's.
As far as Slurrier not knowing a FIVE star from Georgia name ? Well that just goes to show you that he knew 5 stars from Georgia don't become #####. Your best recruiting ever at USuC will forever be the 09,10 & 11 classes with a Hall Of Fame coach. The school itself doesn't attract top athlete and a failure from Florida won't either.
Slurrier's last 2 classes shows he was still recruiting. The fact that a good portion of them were Junior College bound, well that shows the pool that USuC is stuck recruiting from.

Proven fact, don't know what logic you could be talking about , because it's also a proven FACT that 5 Stars from out of state don't come to USuC.

Jaymest might sign with carolina
Aug 8, 2016, 11:01 AM
[ in reply to Re: That's a Myth,outright lie. ] |

because Clemson had to re-shape the CB big board and that moved Jaymest down from a previous top two position, but Terrell is at the top of that big board now and he likes it... i'm giving carolina a 50/50 with Jaymest, but 0/0 with Terrell unless some yellow brick roads get laid around columbia for the Terrell family...

Wish Clemson would consider Jaymest as over sign worthy! He plays very well at man and showed what he can do at The Opening! I would love him playing Nickel like Ryan Carter plays. Jaymest would do great! Think of going Nickel set with Terrell and Williams Jr at Corner and Jaymest at Nickel. No Fly Zone

but Clemson isn't paying me the big bucks to make that decision... may be Clemson should find some legacy money for Dawk Jr, Trapp or Greenlee... any one of those scholly's would make room for Jamyest...
i'm just saying...

Basically it comes down to this:
Do you want to win? Do you want to lose? Or do you want to always lose?
If he wants to win, there's only one team in the race, and that's Clemson.

The main reason you AJ didn't see much other than the athletic facility, is bc everything is so far away from everything. No sport facility is on campus, you have to either load a bus to get from one place to another. Most of your time there will be spent driving or riding to every where you will need to be!!! Their football stadium is in a very bad area, and you would be ashamed for your friends and family to go there to see you play, and your family would be absolutely shocked at the way Gamecock fans treat the fans that come there to see their team playing at Billy Brice stadium. When ever you visit other places, ask how they and their fans are fully disrespected at a game in Columbia. Get online and ask other SEC schools how they are disrespected in Columbia, You won't hear one good thing, and it isn't fair to fans to be so disrespected visiting their opponents home field!!!
