I don’t have any links or references for you, but (forgive me for using this) it’s pretty much common knowledge that shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the independence of Ukraine, the USA started setting up various military facilities in the former Eastern Block countries and vassal states of Russia. In more recent times, we had learned about bio weapons labs being set up in Ykraine.

It doesn’t have to be virus weaponization for an activity to be bioweapons development. Growing stuff like anthrax, aflatoxins (which come from stored soybeans, corn, peanuts, etc), others also constitutes bioweapons development. The type of bioweapons development in Ukraine? I don’t know.

Not to be picky but aflatoxins are caused by molds, which can grow on corn, soybeans, etc. during storage.

Yes indeed. Natural toxins.

Anthrax is a naturally occurring bacteria.

Weaponization of natural toxins and bacteria without genetic modification still requires industrial infrastructure to grow it in scale, package it safely, and develop delivery systems to unleash these bioweapons on the enemy.
