You Need to go see "Sound of Freedom"

It will shake you up, but in a good way. It's not a military flick (much) it's about child trafficking. Probably the best movie so far this summer. Be forewarned, you'll likely be crying at several points in the movie. It's PG-13 (thank goodness) It apparently did larger domestic box office than Indiana Jones on the 4th. Fun fact; it was actually made in 2017, was acquired by Disney but they never released it. I guess they were too busy making flops and woke-washing remakes of previous Disney movies to bother with it. The film eventually got sold back to the original producer and it came out on the 4th this year. 83% /100% scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

I saw it yesterday with my wife. It is very impactful and sobering. I was in tears a couple of times. It brought back a memory from about 7 or 8 years ago when I met with 7 or so victims of labor trafficking in a 9th floor apartment in downtown Yangon, Myanmar. An official with the International Justice Mission introduced me to these folks. Labor trafficking is a much larger problem by several magnitudes over sex trafficking. I think back then it was estimated that there were 15,000,000 people being exploited in labor trafficking in SE Asia. These particular folks shared their very graphic horror stories. Very sad. All of it is driven by economic factors. So, this movie hit close to home. It's part of the reason I do what I do to bring economic freedom and development to people in difficult places.

It may have hit too close to home for Disney execs and their cronies.

Great movie. Saw it July 4th.
There's some sick people in this world.

I just read about this movie and how Disney,

when they acquired it, decided to shelve it for 5 years before holding it ransom for a large sum.
It seems that Hollywood execs hate anything alluding to child trafficking and will black all actors who touch on it.

Disney is so changed and infected. It breaks my heart to see how dirty this once family friendly, uplifting company has perverted their products.

I signed up and got a pair, but didn't really have any interest in seeing Sound of Freedom so we snuck into Indiana Jones instead.

If you need any more motivation to see this movie, many of the well-known "news" and opinion outlets are panning the film. Interesting that most of these same outlets defended the 2020 film "Cuties". (Research it if you have the stomach). Their hypocrisy is disturbing. "Sound of Freedom" is still getting overwhelmingly positive audience reviews.

Hollywood Liberals

rated it a 8.7 on IMDB, anything above a nine is considered an all-time classic. So despite all the claims above that Disney or other Hollywood types were trying to shelve this, seems a bit silly when they turn around and rate this highly. In order to rate movies on IMDB you need film credits. The more you have, and the higher up you are in the industry, say a director or executive producer, the higher your rating influences the score the movie is assigned. So this narrative some of you guys are pushing is a bit absurd.

I don't like Disney anymore. They steal babies. Q sent me here. On a serious note based in reality, the movie has good reviews. I will check it out streaming one days.

I always LOL when people feel the need to defend their ideological pals in the "media".

I find it odd that Hollywood rates this movie higher than rotten Tomatoes.
