Yes and capitalism allowed for nine year olds to work in cotton mills. Just because it’s capitalism doesn’t mean it’s good. there needs to be parameters. I’m all for people getting paid what they’re worth, but when you can just jump ship to the highest bidder after one year, I don’t see how this benefits, the sport, the school or the fan. It’s just a short term gain for one person. The fan, who pays for all this, is actually the biggest loser.

Man you speak about the most wisdom I've read on Tigernet in awhile. I am a LIFE Fike donor, but I feel a dirty even thinking about giving to NIL. Am I hearing correctly in that NIL funds will be carved out of IPTAY donations?

But, the same holds true for employees in the private sector. One can take a job, be trained or educated in specific areas and within a short time frame move on to the next highest bidder. Fact of life and we will see lots more of this as time moves on. Don't like it but don't blame the kids either. Colleges let this happen by not sharing in the money made from sports.

That was unregulated capitalism I believe. Two of my grandparents worked in mills as 11 and 13 year olds circa 1915. Without governmental oversight that could have been me (or you) in the 60's.
Maybe NIL needs to be regulated.
