Extension type figures, I guess. Historically, are any other coaches we have had any better? Just the numbers, don’t care about SOS.
Clemson just settles.

It was, but when did you ever see SOS written into a coaches contract? People on here will argue it. Put it in the expectations contractually and you can legitimately walk away. If not, you’re stuck grading on wins and losses at face value.

and tate locke was doing it with skip wise, bobby conrad, colin abraham, tree rollins. if they couldn't do it, hard to blame anyone following. we even got a coach with another acc coach's name and it still didn't help!

I dont think anyone ever said they hate this team. Actually, I think everyone had super high hopes for this team and never expected them to quit.

I like the team. I just think the way under perform for the amount of talent they have. i.e. it’s a coaching issue.

Could not agree more. Yesterday we found defeat in the jaws of victory. Inexplicable turnovers by Schefflein but the refs should have kept their whistles away from that last play.

Yes they do, I can remember many games Brad has lost because his team definitely wasn’t playing as hard as they could, or just giving up.
Louisville last year. Guys completely didn’t care about playing. And lost to a 4-win team. And it ruined the season.

The problem is the window to fire him was 6 years ago. If he finishes at .500 in conference. The administration will most likely extend his contract. I doubt higher expectations will be written into any extension. Wins and losses will still determine his future, regardless of a weak ACC schedule. Regardless of what happened over the 14 years, he will be graded on the present.
I refuse to root against our team and players in hopes of a #1 draft pick, but agree that things have stagnated. We just accept mediocrity when it comes to basketball. And probably always will.

I think you reflect what many of us here feel. I like Brad a lot as a person and hope he wins every game we play, as do the vast majority here. I think of a lot of what is written on here is merely them built up frustration of wanting to at least be better than we have been.
