No Clemson coach has made it to the final four in a hundred years so maybe the issue is not the coach?

I implied the problem is not the coach (since we have changed them a bunch without a final 4) which has nothing to do with it not being possible.

Is that our expectation for basketball? Just continue a pathetic history of missing the acc tourney altogether or the 2nd round, of being overlooked in March madness, and even in the nit, which is made up basically of lower than the top 50 teams. Clemson should expect a top 50 team. That’s a low standard compared to other sports. If that was the standard in football Bowden would still be coach.
You are right that maybe the issue is not the coach. We’ve had some good coaches struggle here. I don’t think it’s ever been the heart of the players. My opinion it’s been the lack of draw to land the talent it takes to win. The transfer portal may be a fix, as bad as I hate the portal.

I think our recent successes in basketball are 100% directly related to the portal. Brownell has been good in that regard.
