Murder rates are down as well as violent crime in general. And undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit violent crime than people who are American citizens. This is widely known.
But we need the immigration issue front and center because our talking points on the economy have fizzled. And we need to scare-monger about certain races of people in order to elect a former lawless president.

I'm quite sure that makes the thousands of people who are victims of illegal alien crime feel much better. Never mind the fact that these illegal aliens shouldn't be here to commit their crimes to start with.
Secondly - the illegal immigration issue ain't simmering down - it is still among the top issues in the US and will continue to be a top issue so as long as our borders are out of control and these illegals are flooding into our communities.
It's paradoxical how the left wants to justify numerous draconian regulations and laws from gun control to green energy with the trite "if it saves just one life then its worth it" play to emotion argument. Yet when it comes to illegal immigration that "saves just one life" argument quickly becomes "well... illegals commit less violent crime than American citizens" as some kind of justification to ignore the border security mess in order to continue having illegals cross unabated.

Idk what economy you are living but it still definitely sucks. Houses are still double what they were 4 years ago, same for interest rates. Inflation is still here and prevailing.

Why immigrate here legally? Why spend the money, take a test many of us would fail without studying and wait for years, when you can avail yourself the express lane?
It is highly unlikely many of the illegal aliens/ migrants/ newcomers will be deported.
It’s insane that the process that brought this punk into our country exists.
I suspect a lot of Afghans who hung their ##### out for us, wish they had the same opportunity.
