Venables leaving has had a greater impact

8

Sep 23, 2023, 4:28 PM

than imagined b/c his fire infiltrated the entirre coaching staff & team..

and his D’s were the very very best in America IMHO and his blitz packages were legendary!

The new DC is a near genius but not a side-line type coach in any fashion and should go up into the both IMHO.

I can't fault the defense today. This loss is on the coaching staff.

This loss today and the duke loss is on Dabo and his inexperience coaches littered throughout the coaching staff as a whole, and placing blame anywhere else is just looking for excuse or reasons, and it is just that simple. The FSU team that showed up today IMO didn't look to be much if any different than the team we played at FSU last season, and if we would have had Potter today, the results would have been the same. I believe that the inexperience within the coaching staff would keep us out of the playoffs if the playoffs stayed the same as it is now.

I agree. Looked the same to me. Maybe a better receiver or two.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

What, exactly, looked the same?

Sep 23, 2023, 5:51 PM

Details, please. Thanks.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Had NOTHING to do with coaching. A missed kick and a QB fumble for 7 period.

Coaches didn’t cause that.

Please learn the game better. Thanks!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not in this game. I thought we played great defensively

Sep 23, 2023, 4:29 PM

and the offense, which basically loses nobody(which means we are young), looked really good, even without our best receiver and our second best banged up early.

The ol dude is trolling

1

Sep 23, 2023, 4:52 PM

He is rarely on a point with it, but yeah, you reckon losing the best DC in the business would have an impact?

Ol Bill is need ot need of attention. Sit down Bill, please. You’re annoying at best.

Respect for your elders much?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Shut up dork. Of course I do, but I dont respect trolling is for children and immature people.

Bill loves trolling, and that’s pathetic no matter how old. Go sit down, kid.

We are getting outcoached pretty frequently. Dabo needs to hire D1 coaches with experience and quit hiring friends of friends with little experience and family friends. Just my opinion.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bullcrap. We didnt outcoached today or Duke.

Sep 23, 2023, 4:53 PM

Please get ahold of yourself.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nice troll job ol man. Defense didnt lose this game.

You’re an older man. Please grow up and stop trolling. Show some “wisdom” please.

Completed 70% of his passes had three touchdowns his biggest problem is inexperience and ###### coaching

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

His fumbles and INTs are whey weve lost two games.***

Sep 23, 2023, 4:57 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yup. Cade is the reason for both of these losses. Period.

Sep 23, 2023, 4:57 PM [ in reply to Re: Venables leaving has had a greater impact ]

He’s not there yet.

Sep 23, 2023, 5:01 PM [ in reply to Re: Venables leaving has had a greater impact ]

I think Cade played a great game today, and have seen growth throughout the year. He didn’t have some struggles, but if Mafah could learn pass protection after three years on campus, we win this game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nah, a fumble six and throwing a walk on kicker to the fire was why we lost .

Sep 23, 2023, 5:56 PM

#41 should NEVER have trotted put there for game winner.

THAT was poor coaching. No way do you trot an inexperienced walk on out for the game winner . Use your scholarship kids or lose just like that.

I think Bill has a point. Twice I noticed Dabo having to step in and do the defensive coordinator’s job on the spot.

One was late in the game when FSU was about to snap the ball on 3rd and long inside the 15. Dabo noticed something about their alignment and went running down the sideline to get the timeout called. Then he proceeded to take issue with Wes Goodwin for not having pre-empted his involvement.

The other was at the end of regulation when FSU went for it on 4th down. We burned our final timeout and it was Dabo who seemed to take over calling and coaching the defense at that point.

That doesn’t happen with Venables on the sideline. VB is dialed in and in total control of what the defense is doing. Dabo isn’t doing his job for him.

BV seemed to often have a complementary unit. Got a TO at the right time. Got the big stop at the right time.
