Most love to use the phrase that Dabo is living "rent free " in pawls head.. but is it not that pawls living rent free in Clemson fans head.
I know this will get knocked and TD 'd but I don't think what he said is bad. It's actually a compliment. Sorry, Clemson and Dabo has taken a lot of heat for falling from the elite. The fact that outside media even talks and thinks that is really a great thing.
Look no further than Day and osu. They weren't doing cartwheels over the ND win. No, the fans and Day said it was great to get the W but we (osu) have to get better. So, I'm confused why we're not acting like that too.

This isn't an endorsement for day, jk, or pawl. I think day's a whiny brat. So I can see why you might say it's not a good comparison. All I'm agreeing to is that we're 5-4 . At 5-4 in a bad conference, and 8-7 against the last 15 p5 teams is not the time to be taking a victory lap just because you beat a reeling ND team that a lot of people picked and expected Clemson to win. It would be different if the media narrative on clemson sliding was wrong, but they're not.
What if clemson had been in the sec for the last 3 years. We honestly wouldn't even be on any national narrative because we'd be a mid level team. The fact we are on the radar is a good thing.

It’s funny that a fan of any team would approve of a blowhard bashing their team just because of a poor record by the usual standard. Why would you care what he thinks when he’s never really given Clemson credit for it’s dominance until years after and we met adversity? I don't think I've ever heard a sports commentators speak about a head coach and any major sport in this manner. He didn't talk about Joe Paterno and his linebacker coach like he does Dabo

The guy is so hurt by the beating we put on Alabama in 2018 he can't get right. He'll do anything to dig at Dabo and Clemson. Very sad little man.

I'd say they (Barrie's right in there with Finebaum) are almost bored with Swinney now, like theyve both relegated him to second-tier status.
Their tone is more dismissive than anything else, as if to say "Way to go, coach. Youre the highest-paid non-factor not named Jimbo in college football."

Why is an SEC guy so interested in Dabo? Finebaum thinks too much of himself. Clemson is not in the SEC so get a life and do your SEC job. I can't believe he has stayed on TV this long. There are better commentators out there.
