Cade has made a lot of bone headed mistakes and I think he would be one of the first ones to admit that, but, some of those bone headed mistakes was forced on him by very poor O Line play.
Will one season be enough for coach Luke to fix the problems with our O Line, probably not, but I believe he can probably patch it up enough so that Cade will have a little more time to make his reads hopefully, and if it does, I think we will see a much better Cade Klubnik than the one we all saw making a ton of mistakes because he was having to get out of his wheel house just to try and make a play...
I like Cade, and I hope that he will be able to put all of the bad memories of last season out of his head and show Tiger Nation the QB that he was coming out of HS. I hope that Behind a Matt Luke patched up O line, Cade will have a better chance to make plays than the chances he had last season!!! Go Cade, Go Tigers!!!

Did Rattler declare for the draft? I don't follow the Coots, but he was flat out better than Cade, and I'm one of Cade's supporters.

His completion percentage is pretty good.
What leaps off the page for me is his TD to interception ratio of 2/1.
I'd like to see this number improve vastly
A ratio of 3/1 would be an admirable improvement.
A ratio of 5/1 likely lands us in the playoffs as ACC championship.
This of course is predicated on our usual performance of our defense being a top 10 rated defense. That's very doable.
I think CK will meet the challenge with a WR group. If healthy , will be a strength.
His oftentimes poor decisions I believe are due to the self-applied pressure to make a play.
If that can be remedied by Riley's improved performance over what was accomplished last year the ceiling for CK and this team is very high.

Nothing against this kid but he needs to transfer to Erskine College to play. He would be a better fit there. Not sure he he ever got rated a 5*

I watched him play as a junior in TX 6A HS championship game against Quinn Ewers at Cowboys' Stadium.... He was 18-20 for 220 yards, 1 TD and no interceptions (mainly because his primary receivers caught EVERY 50/50 ball).... Plus he looked like the fastest player on the field with another 100 yds on the ground in the 52-34 win.... The main differences between the two teams was Westlake's O-line and receivers.... They allowed him to execute flawlessly while Ewers was having to carry the Southlake offense on his back, and he spent much of the day on his back.... During his HS career Klubnik never had to carry the team and was rarely, if ever, put into the position of having to "make a play" for the team to win.... The 2023 season was his "baptism by fire".... I expect him to improve in the 2024 season, and we should see some signs of improvement in the spring game, but I think it's obvious that he doesn't have the dual-threat talent to take the team on his back and will his team to wins against top 15 teams....

Now this aspect of the # 5 being applied to Cade I am in total agreement with but when it comes to him being a " 5 " star recruit that's another story. I am still trying to figure out who was the guru who came up with that assessment. A lot will be answered on August 31st.

The kid was undefeated in high school. He shattered records passing. He won the Elite 11. He dominated at camps. What other metric would you use for a QB in high school recruiting? He was a 5 star. He was just a victim of terrible QB coaching like so many under that worthless QB coach of ours. He's now having to unlearn bad habits.

i'd be interested to see how many starters at WR, RB, and OL from the 2021-2023 seasons get drafted in the NFL

In my opinion the answer to our problems would be two or three 6-5, 225 lb receivers that will go up and get the ball. And I do have all the respect in the world for our success with Humphries, Grisham, McCleod, Renfrow, etc.

Klubnik, the HC, the OC, the QB coach, and the entire Offense has serious work to do. And that's OK. Cautiously optimistic Clemson will break UGA and start a new chapter.
