Not a good injury. So glad he got the 53mil contract in 2020

He was headed for another huge one but my guess is he will be signed to some 1 year deal once he’s healed. This is a pretty rare injury for NFL players. Jamal Adams returned this year after 13 mos and seems to be performing ok. There was a study done about 15 years ago on this injury - about half the guys returned to play in NFL games. Some of those that didn’t probably didn’t have the star power/ability of DJ. I’m sure rehab has gotten better but also imagine it’s tougher for a big guy. He’s under 30 so let’s hope things go well and it’s not a career ender
