I knew Doug & his family very well since we worked for the same textile company in north Georgia. I worked on his staff for 13 months. Hellva' guy to work for. Above average golfer and below average nickel/dime poker player... lol God speed Doug.

I know! I follow The Tigers rather closely and don't think I ever heard him spoken of other than when the stadium was mentioned. A living legend all these years and I had no idea. RIP and prayers for family and all loved ones!. Now, let's have a great season in his honor.

About 90 if he went to Clemson right out of HS at the age of 18 and graduated in 4 years.

Would like to thank you all in this thread for your kind comments about my dad… He was laid to rest on cementary hill this past Sunday… where he will hear the Tigers roar may echo or the mountain heights through eternity … right where he wanted to be.. on behalf the the Kingsmore family Thank you….no one loved Clemson more than he… he died wearing the paw.. only fitting..
