offense. Of course the play calling was less than mediocre. Was Wake's defense so good there were no deep balls in the plan? Was Wake's defense so good that receivers couldn't get open? I swear, i hope to never see another swing pass that seems to only generate success about 10 percent of the time. As far as the defense is concerned they played well. If the remaining schedule is better than Wake the Tigers may not get bowl eligible at season end. If this offense was going to be so much better then the ACC defenses are a lot better than the Big 12 was last year. Will take the Win. Only hope the "elevator" offense can get consistency. (Offensive line continues to underperform.)

This team just doesn’t have the mojo. Defense is good but not great. Offense is stagnant. If this team had played Louisville or UNC or FSU or any top 25 team we would have been trounced. What has our miracle OC added? Klubnik has a long way to go to look like a 5 star.

Defense is great - look at the national stats. We didn’t get hammered by FSU, even with our issues we went into overtime. So, what’s your point? If it’s offense, I agree that there are major issues.

Yep, glad we won for sure!
BUT what happened to "play to a standard?" We play like that against FSU or down the road, Miami, ND, SC and probably others and we lose by 30.
Cade has been doing well but was off today, we couldn't block ANYONE today even after they put back two high safeties most of the time (unlike SYR who dared us the throw and we did) and on D we let them just stand there and run the slow mesh - you have to break that up, you get passive that is what happens.
IDK - I hope we get some rest and come back strong for the second half of the season.

What happened to the big plays that we saw against Syracuse? Miscues aside, that just seemed anemic on offense. In the fourth quarter, they broke a few, but why can you only get a yard per carry with two fast beasts at RB. The defense, on the other hand, is performing. They give up some first downs, but they make big plays. I don’t know what the rest of the season has coming our way, but we have to be able to drive the ball down the field and score.
