Playing sports is about the same as playing Poker, without some good luck to go along with the talent, your risk at losing is high!!!

The Underclassmen don't need HOPE. The Upperclassmen Do

Play the most talented highest ceiling players at each position
and forget about who has been in the program the longest

because truth is, the upperclassmen have never ever ever won a big game

yeah seriously, the second team guys seem to get the system better and play like they want it more than the starting WR's. I'd like to see Haynes lined up in more formations earlier in the games.

Hope is not a winning strategy!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

In context, Hope is a dangerous thing refers to the fates

Of men in prison. Lol

I think the Tigers stand a better chance against the pretendinoles than that! Florida Atlantic would’ve been the more appropriate speaker of those words coming into their game with us than the Tigers going into this weekend.

How about, “What we do in life.. echoes in eternity!”

Go Tigers!

38 - 34 Clemson

Yes, but if you saw the movie, the main character escapes prison to a beautiful beach in Mexico.

He also patiently executed a flawless plan and swam through a mile of #### to make it happen. That’s what worries me, does this team have the grit, the determination or the moxy? 🤷‍♂️

Mine too. I believe the key to the game is a proper shoe shine. After all, how often does a man pay particular attention to another man's shoes?

unfortunately, the past 7 have nothing to do with next one. and, when you're talking about a quality opponent, the more years you beat them (consecutively), the higher the probability is that they're gonna beat you the next time. cause it's GONNA happen,... sooner or later. let's just hope it's later.

This is a big test to see if this team can re-establish itself as a legit contender for ACC title. FSU appears to be the more talented, experienced, motivated team. Thus far Tiger look like they are a young team with potential that is probably a season away. There are flashes of excellence, followed by inexplicable lapses, dumb mistakes. Not sure how much fight is in them. The Duke debacle still looms. They have to flush that.

Can Dabo afford to have a rebuilding year? Will the fan base tolerate a 6-8 win season? Or will an underachieving year lead to departures and further dissent? We shall see.

What we are needing right now is the BELIEF that true Clemson Fans have always had. Many Fans have either lost that or they are Ban Wagon Fans that have never known what it is to BELIEVE. Always focusing on the NEGATIVE. If you don’t believe in CLEMSON and what it stands for then jump off the Ban Wagon and do not get back on when we turn this thing around like we always have.

GO TIGERS! BEAT FSU.! but if you don’t this fan will be behind you just like I always have until the END.

What kicker is in the transfer portal that you recommend?

How does that address anything to do with FSU this weekend?

Playing at BC was a tough game, as we have found out in the past. You take nothing from our last 2 games and little from the FSU-BC game except the Noles found a way to win. FSU will play the way they did against LSU and we will have to play much better than we have in the first 3 games. We know what kind of athletes we have and what kind of athletes FSU has. The game should be an old fashioned Clemson-FSU game and the team that protects the ball and makes fewer mistakes will come out on top.

I'm sure I can agree with the statement that we have seen how good Clemson can be... we still don't seem to be able to run for a couple of yards when we need them most, or have WR's running around in space. I guess we will see if that is good enough this week!!!!
I wouldn't depend on the "hope" that FSU plays another stinker against us!
Go Tigers.

2024 orange level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree

Sep 18, 2023, 9:28 PM

I drank the orange and purple kool-aid this Spring & Summer, even though I said I wasn’t but ###### if before I knew it….I had!!!!
But all I’ve seen thus far is an Offense that’s looks an awful lot like last Season, an Offensive Line that can’t get any push when needed or open holes on a consistent basis, receivers who can’t get separation, don’t fight for the ball and are still dropping easy to catch passes and a QB that can’t settle down and his spastic ### is making stupid mistakes over and over.
Special Teams for the most part is a joke and quite an embarrassment when we need it the least.
The Defense has been solid for the most part but still look lost at times and the corners are still playing way too far off their receivers…..giving up easy first downs and we still don’t know what having someone “spy” their QB means.
Okay….so I guess I’ve “sugar coated” this as best I could. If we don’t get our act together this week….it won’t be pretty Saturday and the Noon kickoff is just another “Avantage” Florida State….
Go Tigers…!!!!!! Still love ya but I’m
hurt’ n….🏈🏈🏈🏈

Yes, hope is dangerous. I take someone who thought they were defeated and makes them dangerous to those who think they have control. Hope makes survivors out of people and gives them the energy to reach a goal. Yes, hope is a very dangerous thing and Clemson has hope.
