Are the Dabo effect.
Most people/coaches/media across the country want Dabo/Clemson to fail.

They have not liked Clemson and Dabo since we dethroned the mighty SEC and Bama.

They care for the same reason they want to see a Patriots team and Tom Brady fail. We don't like people winning too much and we love to build them up and then tear them down.

You're not wrong but we haven't looked good either. The coaches poll has in the top 25 still because I suspect some coaches are cutting Dabo some slack as they understand how hard our hill is to climb with all the extra weight this program is carrying right now (inexperienced staff, no portal, walk-on schollies, etc.)

Performance on the field is why we dropped. Maybe the dislike of Dabo is why we dropped so far last week but losing to anybody by 3 touchdowns isn’t going to help your rankings. Plus you just can’t go behind to a bad FCS team at any point in a game.

You’re not wrong. Dabo wears his faith on his sleeve and this ran afoul of espn and corporate tv every time he would mention God in his post game interviews. I’m not saying all of them are anti-religion but they’re certainly not for letting it be promoted on their air time. Dabo is essentially antithetical to their spiritual philosophies or lack there of. Clemson football is certainly not a media darling anymore and let’s face it espn controls a lot of influence across the football landscape

I'll say this. During this great run Clemson has been on ESPN has spent a lot of time covering Clemson in a positive way. The same thing happens when Bama loses or struggles. Look how Clemson finished 2022. Then losing to Duke to start the year.
Losing 3 out 4 brings criticism.
Looking sloppy against a team you should kill In the first half brings criticism.
