2023 Mount Pleasant (SC) offensive tackle and 247Sports Composite No. 1 Palmetto State prospect Monroe Freeling set a commitment date of Aug. 29 on Saturday. He has the Tigers among his finalists, as well as Florida, Alabama and Miami, but Freeling is expected to pick Georgia.

He's not a South Carolinian. He's a transplant so no true allegiances to either USC or Clemson. Just never seemed to want to stay in state. His loss, I think Austin is going to do magical things with the offensive line under him.
