Me too! I have been retired one year. I told my wife I’m not going anywhere tomorrow. For so many years I had to go out in the inclement weather and now I don’t have to go out in the c r a p so I’m not. 😁😁

tomorrow. I don't ever recall a closing for just rain back when I was in grammar or high school. Must be gonna come down in buckets, and knock out power.

I do remember being let OUT of school early a few times due to said power failures, back in the day.

Agreed. They close them now if there is just a threat of some wind and rain. So soft. We had to wait and pray for snow that never came but usually ended up just being just a cold rain. Not fair.

Are there snow days anymore? Students can work remotely at home.

Covid made it too easy for schools to close. “E learning” is a joke. School district is soft af for these closures. They did it earlier in the year for a thunderstorm. It’s SC, it storms. Always has, always will.

Any wind over 35 mph school busses cannot travel by law.

They’re looking at pretty high winds in the midlands of SC. Don’t want to have busses with students out there.

I think when they expect wind gusts to exceed 30mph they call school in fear of the buses overturning!
School superintendant in my day would have laughed at that notion!!
