many are raising prices to cover the cost. Which in the long run will lead to less demand and THEN cause layoffs.

The goal should be to entirely automate fast food chains -

at least the crappy food would be more consistent and service would be a 100x better. The only downside would be no videos of Popeyes employees fighting each other and customers...

which says stocks are at an all time high, the USA's inflation rate is a fraction of that of peer nations, more jobs are being created than ever before, the world is at peace, and people in the USA are more unified and happy than ever before.

You act like the left doesn't want them unemployed. Unemployed young people leaching off their parents vote overwhelmingly D so why would the left want these folks living on their own and actually paying taxes and experiencing the negatives of left wing policies? The lefts been trying to make it legal for 16 year olds to vote for years and this basically achieves the same thing. Not much difference between a 16 year old and an unemployed twenty year old living in moms basement and reading left wing drivel online all day.

want the ever expanding government and military expenditures the GOP insists on.
Maybe, they'll see how bad they are getting fscked by both teams and finally decide to vote "none of the above".

Any minimum wage can reduce employment, so if that's all we care about, there should be no minimum wage.
Or maybe that's not all we care about.

Do you think think raising the minimum wage will lead to more buying power for those who make minimum wage? I don't think so, at least not for any significant period of time.

By that same argument, we could lower the minimum wage without lowering the buying power of people making minimum wage. No, I don't think it's true.

I think price adjustments over a fairly short period of time would only really change the $ figure of what is poverty. Ultimately, I don't think it really matters what you do with the minimum wage. It's not going to bring anyone out of poverty. At least not for any extended period of time.

I agree, there should be no federal minimum wage let the market decide. If they are paying to low they will bring in ###### employees and businesses will suffer. Raise wages to bring better employees and businesses flourish. Common sense

I think a minimum wage is an excellent idea. It exists because of important lessons learned more than 100 years ago. We do not need to learn them the hard way again.

Idk man. The minimum wage is 7.25 now and every job pays significantly more than that. It’s pretty much pointless. No one is going to work for 7.25. If they got rid of the minimum wage people would still not work for 7.25
