So Dj U (football topic)

will he still float 20% of the balls he throws to the left boundary because he does not set his feet properly, and will it be something that DC's will adjust to and we continue to struggle with our bread and butter chunk play to the boundary receiver? I know he can make this throw on a rope and catch the receiver in stride, leaving just enough to get one foot in bounds, but he also sails this pass about 20% of the time.
discuss.

I'd assume that was due to a minor mechanical issue

that will be fixed this year due to increased attention to detail in his 2nd year and more reps.
He will win the Heisman this year and lead us to a national championship. Just my humble, unbiased opinion

I would put his odds of winning the Natty for us to be

much more favorable than winning the Heistman. I just can't see the peoples who vote for that doorstop ever giving it to a Clemson man, if neither Deshaun Watson nor Trevor Lawrence was able to corral it.

After he spanks the UGA defense, he will be the leading candidate out of the gate. He would just has to hold into that through the rest of the schedule. The opportunity is there for him.

I’m betting he finishes the year setting records in percentage completion with a 99.999% mark. The one thrownhe missies all year will be a forward pitch to Pace under pressure.

One way to up his % is to have Ross on the field.

Hoping the TE re-emerges as viable weapon in this offense. Sure would be nice to exploit the middle of the field for chunk yardage.

He’s down to 17.5% and then hopefully 15% by season start.

I’m not sure he’ll ever get down to 0% like other qbs

Never saw Trevor complete a pass while scrambling to the right.Game announcers never mentioned it, just talked about his accuracy while running left.
Seemed to work out ok.

Dude could throw this on a rope every time, or even back shoulder it when needed. This is an area for DJ to improve.

Maybe we could meet for lunch, toss down a couple of brews, and walk down to the practice field and point out his problems.
I'm sure he'd appreciate the input.

DJU will work with an outside QB coach to fix it…

He mentioned working Quincy Avery and Steve Clarkson in an article after the spring game. Smart move going that seeking outside help with his mechanics.
