But, Maphah (and Pace) are awesome as well....why does it ALWAYS seem that Shipley gets approximately 95% of the snaps inside the 5?

I'd love to see those other rbs get more snaps, either on their own or in two back sets. I hope we can keep them after this year is over.

Very simple, Mafah is a patient runner he delays behind his lineman to find his hold then hits it, Shipley has the best vision out of the backs to find smaller holes on the goal line, also Shipley is a one man wrecking crew if their isn’t an opening he’s going to make one.

I know this may be blasphemy but I feel like Shipley is overrated. Now I'm NOT saying that he isn't any good. Far from that. I think he's a solid player. However I don't understand where all this "He's amazing" hype comes from. Every game the announcers always talk about his insane speed. The kid is ALWAYS caught from behind. He does not have elite speed. He also has a tendency to fumble the ball a lot.

I think Shipley is a good to great player. He is not elite though, not imo.

I do think his will and determination are elite level though.
