But the offense went cold when it matter. 9 people left on base. We have a easy schedule all the way to the wake series. We need to find a good starting unit by then.

I’ve said before that Olenchuck should not be pitching. He should be batting and playing first base.

Yes. He was very lucky 3 more of his pitches didn't leave Founders Park.

I’m comparing to yesterday. We threw bullpen pitchers today. They gave up 11 runs in 4 innings yesterday. Only gave up 7 on 8 innings today. Obviously I wish we would have won.

In my opinion, we need to find a lot more than a starting lineup. We need to find pitching, we need to find hitting, we need to have a plan for how to beat a team. Let’s not forget we swept Carolina last year.

That's a very veteran team... we are mostly freshman and sophomores. We had them on the ropes yesterday just couldn't closeout that 1 bad inning. I'm not worried with what I saw....just hope Ammoms can get back sooner rather than later

South Carolina did today what we didn’t do yesterday, which was lock down the game once they had the lead. Their relief pitcher (Hicks) game in today and shut us down. We didn’t have that option out of the pen yesterday (and probably won’t all season) and it hurt us. Until we get some serious development with the current pitching staff and some solid recruits, it’s going to be a huge pain point.
