Observations from last nights game

Lots of strong hitters in every slot. Lots of power at the plate. Discipline at the plate was impressive. We hit the ball hard last night against the pitcher that beat Vanderbilt in a Regional. Not many strikeouts by our players. Lots of quality at bats and more than several balls were hit to the wall. I noticed that our players were very aggressive and everyone got big leads at first base. Hard to tell how much speed we have on the bases with the new players. Defense looked strong after the first inning jitters. Barlow kept his cool after the 1’st inning threat and did well. Titsworth was impressive and he has the coolest nickname on the team. Our outfield made catches look easy. I’m looking for any weaknesses, but they aren’t obvious. Bakich and Schnabel obviously did a great job getting this team ready.

Drew is from a small town in Michigan close to where my Wife is from. A German village town. He was impressive to watch in high school. I think he could get his velocity to 96-97 by the time he is done at Clemson.
