Observations from being at the game tonight ....

First, gosh ... the crowd was dead for the first 3/4 of the game. This should not happen any of the remaining homne games. This was the first game I have been able to make this year and I know I was getting on people's nerves sitting around me because I was hooooo-ing the entire game ... I have no voice left  Finally with about 6 minutes left the crowd came to life, and the guys responded BIG TIME. POSTIVE!
Second, this is the THIRD straight game where Clemson FINSIHED strong, outscoring UM 24-3 over the last 7 minutes. Clemson only had ONE long stretch of scoreless minutes (the last 4 minutes of the 1st half and first 2 minutes of the 2nd half). This is an improvement from previous games where they have multiple long scoring droughts. POSITIVE!
Second, in defense of PJ, Miami had a great strategy guarding him ... any time PJ got #15 on his hip at the foul line in anticipation for the lob to the bucket, a Miami guard would leave his man and run to the lane between PJ and the bucket ... no way that lob was going to work. It was a VERY effective strategy.
Now, if other teams mimic this strategy in the future, CBB can coach-up the PG to fake the lob from top of the arc to PJ and when the edge defender guard crashes the lane, the ball must go to the teammate on the edge that was left ungarded, and he (1) takes the 3, or (2) drives and (a) takes it to the hoop, or (b) dishes to PJ for the easy 2 foot shot. FIXABLE!
Clemson is set up to make a big run ... and could finish as high as 3 seed with the loss by UVA and WFU the past few days.
GO TIGERS - BALL OUT !!!!

I wore camo and had my fsu buddy with me tonight. Was easily the loudest person around me. 3 times I saw Brownell urging the crowd to make noise while shaking his head

Had to record the game and haven't seen it yet, but checked the box score and noted Godfrey played just nine mins and Wiggins only two.

Littlejohn is simply not designed for enough students to be close enough to make a ton of noise. The crowd was small with only 7200 fans compared to 9000 against UVA and because the building is large and built for comfort, the noise level is hard to maintain. We need the students to really show up and be loud and because we have 2 Saturday games coming up that should happen.

Blaming the design of Littlejohn for lack of crowd noise is ridiculous.
I’ve been in that arena hundreds of times since it opened and the noise level can be deafening. The product on the court has caused the fan base to take a “wait and see” approach.
Additionally, our game environment is pathetic . We need to create an environment like Auburn where the opponents are intimidated by everything. The excitement in Littlejohn is on the other end of the spectrum.
I love Clemson basketball. I was there last night as well.
