In 2005, the two teams showed an unusual gesture of sportsmanship by meeting at midfield before the game to shake hands, putting the melee of 2004 behind them. Clemson won this game 13–9, leaving the Tiger’s quarterback, Charlie Whitehurst, undefeated against USC in his 4 years at Clemson.

That's was my first game in Willy B. Was also Spurrier's first season at sc. I remember 1st & 25 scoring the game's only touchdown and the 3rd & 10 QB draw by whitehurst to seal the game.
