Cant argue with 500+ yards of offense and almost 50 points.

Now apparent that Shipley is the leader not that try hard DJ.

Hopefully Shipley can hold up physically to what's coming his way.

Defense has weird lapses that left everyone around me scratching heads.

Still not a CFP team. Maybe next week they'll come together well enough to hold off Wake.

Apologies if Im cryptic - I meant that Shipley is clearly the leader of the team not DJ, who is a try hard.

At the risk of being a prig:

A try hard (also tryhard) is someone who puts in tons of effort but is absolutely no fun to watch/play with and who usually comes up short when it counts most.

My gaming nerd is showing.

While I don’t see our O being as prolific with DJ at the helm, he is the one who gives us the best chance to win right now.

But the D looks very sloppy! Wes has to get that rectified ASAP. Way too many busted plays on D. If Furman and LaTech can do that to our D, god help us with Wake, NC State, Louisville, FSU and Miami. ?

I just cant agree about DJ. But I cant argue it, either. Just a gut feeling he'll implode at the worst possible time.

I think Bresee's absence was certainly felt, given the LaTetch QB's time to make throws and our ONE sack all night.
But some things matter alot more than football, given Bresee's situation.

I agree -- lots of dogfights in their future.
But I can remember getting restless and wanting to leave at halftime when they'd hang 50 on ACC teams almost every week.

So at least it wont be boring?
