Meanwhile over at FGF, they really can't understand why...

a "TOP TIER" yes, they think Top Tier school, like USCjr doesn't have more big names lining up to be HC.

Sadly their delusional fanbase doesn't understand what a career killer USCjr is for football coaches. You don't get the nickname "Graveyard of Coaches" by being an elite place to work.

USCjr has everything in place to be successful: SEC affiliation, strong attendance, no pro teams in the state but they have one conference championship in over 120 years of football. The candidates know the "Chicken Curse" is real and run from it. Plus it also a huge negative to have a truly elite program just 130 miles up the road in Clemson.

Remember, they also claimed that assistants were lining up

to work with Slurrier. His staff go worse every year, yet they couldn't see it, yet now they want no one on that staff retained.

Now they're claiming it's because the SEC is tough to coach in.

but, but, but....

according to Clueless09, the fact that Muschamp, Riley, and RichRod are being interviewed as "back-up plans" shows how "highly regarded" the $CU job really is.

Muschamp couldn't win at Florida and RichRod is currently 6-6 overall and 3-6 in conference at Arizona.

And say you're settling on a 5....when really, you were destined for that 5 all along

It's not just that the talent level there is low, or that it's a hard place to win at. It's that the expectations there are now higher than they should be following the few 10 win seasons they recently had. It was one thing to take a job there whenever winning 7 games and beating Clemson once every 3 or 4 years would make most of their fans happy. It's another thing to take a job there when most are expecting you to win 9 or more games each year and beat Clemson more than you lose to them.

6-7 last year and 3-9 this year is a top tier?

"The Chicken Curse" is literally that. Who wants to coach

at a school where your mascot is in fact a CHICKEN! Doesn't exactly strike fear into the opposition when you know a good sized garden hoe will take them out.

I thought I saw an article somewhere that their original mascot was a jaguar, but someone made the brilliant decision to change to a chicken. And, the rest, is history.
