What had Cade done today to lose the game?

Cade can’t make the OL block for him. Cade can’t make the WRs catch. Sure a throw or two may have been off. But what am I missing Cade hasn’t played bad today.

He has had time to throw the #### ball. He just can’t see the field and when he does he is to slow to react.

He's missed 2 throws.
He's held onto the ball when there was open receivers on at least 2 plays
Intentional grounding.
Stayed in the pocket too long at least twice.

Throwing a majority hospital balls.
Afraid to throw the ball more than 12-15 yards down the field ( or isn’t capable or worse doesn’t have the field vision).
Not throwing receivers open when the pocket collapses.
Stares down receivers.
Plays are there to be made, he just can’t make them.

It’s the only passes he makes, he either can’t see the plays down the field, doesn’t know the playbook to just trust throwing it to a spot or he doesn’t have the arm to do it…. All are bad.
It’s inexcusable he won’t throw to the down field receivers.

They are there to be used, he NEVER sees or attempts to throw them, that’s all on him and his inability to see the field or trust the play design aka throwing receivers open.

Late throws and stepping up into the rush lane of the defender on a 3 man rush. Also not keeping the ball when the DE crashes down.

By the time he throws. It’s ok every once in a while but every pass play? Probably could be blamed on coaches but at some point your hope he’d just get it.

While the OL is not great. It seems like people believe Cade should have 10 seconds to throw the ball every snap. That isn’t how this works.

95% of them have been comparable to hand offs. Now he just threw one in the end zone to Kentucky.

It's about winning. Seems like he is playing with the goal of not being the one to lose the game for us....alot different than being the guy to win the game for us.

I saw this post and had to respond...
1) he has absolutely no pre-snap awareness of who is going to blitz.... like the corner coming up to the line. If he did he would dump it off immediately to the uncovered guy this corner left.
2) he runs backward when under overwhelming blitz. If he just dropped, he could save yards and his body
3) he has 2 more intentional groundings in this game.... just hit the turf, save the yards and the down.
4) he stares down receivers which hurts the morale of the open guys that are never found.
5) too many of his passes were too high to catch, too low to catch, or most often 2 or 3 seconds too late.
6) too many passes with no zip which allowed the defenders to recover and knock them down.
7) his pocket awareness is missing and he holds the ball 2 or 3 seconds too long to be able to avoid a sack or worse, a fumble.
Other than that he had a good game and handed off flawlessly and ran well once he decided to get out of the collapsing pocket and ran the right way.
I really like Cade and wondered last year why the coaches were not allowing him the opportunity to challenge DJ. Maybe he is just not coachable at the position but we'll see.
I know everyone will say that I and others are spoiled relative to the QB position because of Watson and Trevor, but Clemson has had many great passing QB's with better awearness of when to run like h*ll and passing on the run.... Boyd, Whitehurst, Jordan, Rodney Williams, Fuller even. Was there ever one tougher than Williams!
Dabo will get it done next year, regardless of who is at QB. Go Tigers!

The play inside the 5 on the incomplete pass over the middle Briningstool sums up the debate over Klubnick. Why didn’t he throw it on time when he saw it the whole time?
I’m back and forth on is it him, the OL, the lack of speed at WR, all 3?
