The guys played tough last night. Right to the end. Just didn’t shoot as well as most games and played 5 on 7 all night. We are not going to win every road game in conference play. I don’t like JK’s snarky, envious comments regarding the football program, but the basketball team is doing very well. Just enjoy it. Shooting and officiating had more to do with the loss last night than coaching did.

I pointed out the problem with JK and his sniping at the football program. That didn’t affect the game last night either. The basketball team is having a very good year. Just enjoy it. It hasn’t been this good in a while.

been going on - but last night was typical & expected. First game ranked - lots of excuses - bottom line, we lose. Same ol’ same ol’ in a lot of ways.
We need a leader with a vision that can get us over this seemingly unscalable Alps mountain.

Actually, I agree. Being short handed, playing a tough team in their gym, battling to a statistical draw up and down the stat sheet--with the glaring exception of the FT line where our nearly perfect 13-15 was easily overshadowed by their 22-32 (or something like that).
I thought we played well enough to win, but WF got the benefit of some calls and hit daggers every time they needed one.
But last week, Duke was short handed, playing a tough team in their gym, and lost a similar game. JK said it was because of great coaching by CBB.
I can admit that CBB didn't seem to make a lot of blunders this year, with the exception of the last minute of the first half against Loyola. And that this team is playing with a lot more fire and poise than some previous teams. And that CBB has made some progress over time, albeit glacially slowly.
But winning that Duke game wasn't about "great coaching". If we had "great coaching" we might not have lost this game.
JK just comes on here to stroke himself while he drools over CBB. Or to spit on football coaches, players, and fans.
For a long time, I was patient with CBB and had hopes that he was getting over the hump. I still see a lot of positives--I often actually agree with JK about CBB, just not in the sad sycophantic way JK seems to. JKs postings used to be just sad wet dreams, but lately have become downright annoying.
Ok. Done with that, gotta go feed the chickens and get to work.

Did you watch the game last night? Our starting point guard was out and we weren't allowed to breathe on a Demon Deacon. Still had a chance late, this would have been a 20 point lose in other years.

The team played fine.
My only concern is that Hunter Tyson may not be able to score much now that teams have figured out how to defend him.
