Unfortunately this can be one downside to the philosophy of pitching to contact… we are going to have games like this against very aggressive teams just like Kennesaw state … it happens it’s baseball but Darden is far from a scrub as mentioned below, he’s goin to be very important to this team and if you give up after watching an inning of baseball and giving up 4 runs then you don’t watch or know anything about baseball , long way to go.

Agreed , and obviously doesn’t pay much attention to Bakich lead teams… this game is far from over just need to settle in and put a couple zeros up… their guy didn’t look super comfortable they just came up with a big hit and we didn’t.

Darden sports a career ERA in the high 5s..he was blasted in the Duke series for 6 runs in a 1/3 of an inning...he's been touched for 4 more today. He cannot locate that flat average 90 mph fastball at all and has light break on his off speed pitches that makes him decent vs LH hitters...Righties are hitting .420 against him for his career...he's a below average arm and prospect...I've been around baseball for 30 years..,

I guess you also realize he’s a sophomore … he’s gonna be fine. I’m pretty sure this is their ace , and we willl have our two better arms going. I’m just saying Darden was very important last year and he’s no ace yet but will be a big part of this team this year…and you mentioned Duke , you act like that’s some scrub team they were one of the hottest teams in the country when we played them lol

And I also guess you know Cam Leiter had an era right around 5 last year and he’s a consensus top 5-10 draft pick next year so I’m assuming you feel the same about him…
