I also think our offense hurt our defense last year by not giving them time to rest between series. If you look back, defense played quite well in the first half of games when they were fresh! I think having an offense that can put together drives and stay on the field will be huge!

Agree.

The combination of having better drives (which keeps defense off the field) and being further ahead in games (which makes opposing offense more one-dimensional) should combine to make defense better with no other action on Wes' part.

I think that they figured out (correctly) as the season went on that Wes needed to blitz more than he was early...
