South Carolina Highway 194 is a 14.7 mile state highway that begins at an intersection with US 378 in Saluda and heads northeast to SC 391 near Stoney Hill and Lake Murray all in mostly rural areas of Saluda County.

194 - Jeff McCall Drafted 194 in 1983 Draft by LA Raiders

At one time, Clemson used a fullback extensively. One particular Clemson fullback, Jeff McCall, played an integral role in Clemson’s success between 1979 and 1882.

As part of that role, McCall was vital to Clemson’s 1981 National Championship both as a rusher and as a blocker. Many Clemson fans will remember his key runs to pick up yardage and to run clock during many of Clemson’s 1981 wins – including the Orange Bowl to win the title. McCall also gained the only touchdown in a hard fought 10-8 Clemson win against a Top 10 UNC team in Chapel Hill that season.

McCall’s rushing stats:

1979:
- 11 games: 15 rushes for 50 yards (3.3 average)
- 0 Touchdowns

1980:
- 9 games: 98 rushes for 317 yards (3.2 average)
- 2 Touchdowns

1981:
- 9 games: 84 rushes for 409 yards (4.9 average)
5 Touchdowns

1982:
- 11 games: 79 rushes for 333 yards (4.2 Average)
- 4 Touchdowns

Although his NFL experience was short-lived, McCall did earn a Super Bowl ring as a rookie in a1983. He was on the inactive list for the game, however.
