South Carolina Highway 193 is a 6.93 mile state highway that begins at an intersection with SC 23 in the small town of Ward and travels northwest to an intersection with SC 121 south of Saluda, all in rural parts of Saluda County.
Still honoring Pigpen's retirement, I mean Pig's pending retirement, we look at St. Petersburg, Florida. St. Pete, as it is nicknamed, is the 5th largest city in Florida in population. But, along with nearby Tampa and Clearwater in the Tampa Bay area, it is the second largest Metropolitan area in the state. It is known as the sunshine city for it's pleasant weather and averaging over 350 annual days of sunshine, which make the city a popular retirement destination. I visited the area with 4 comrades on New Years 1991 for Clemson's win over Illinois in the Hall of Fame Bowl in Tampa. We left upstate SC in a cold rain and got to sunny Clearwater with people on the beach in swimsuits.

You are staying in my stomping grounds- worked with a guy who lived in Ward - home of Leon Everette(sp) country singer who let alcohol ruin his career- he sang at a church function in our area last year

193 - Xavier Brewer Made 193 Tackles for Clemson

DB Xavier Brewer (2009-2012) starred for Clemson during Dabo’s early time as head coach – including starting every game on Clemson’s 2011 ACC Championship team. According to ClemsonTigers.com:
Brewer played 53 games between 2009-12 and started 34. He finished with 193 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss (among the top 20 in Clemson history among defensive backs), 23 pass breakups and five interceptions. He was named a permanent co-captain his senior year in 2012 when the Tigers finished the season ranked No. 9 in the final USA Today poll, Clemson’s first top-10 ranking since 1990.

After Clemson, Brewer signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. He also played for the Jacksonville Sharks in the Arena League in 2014 and 2015.
More recently Brewer was a graduate assistant with Dabo at Clemson before serving as the cornerbacks coach at Louisiana-Monroe in 2021. After Venables went to Oklahoma in December 2021, Brewer joined him at OU as a senior defensive analyst.
