I'm ready to admit that this team is in the tournament. Hopefully, I don't eat those words.
Here's the question: what if Clemson won out to end the regular season and earned a double bye in the ACCT, and then they won three more in the ACCT including wins over Duke and UNC to earn the conference tournament championship? Yes, I know. It seems impossible.
But still, just a hypothetical. They'd be 26-8 with two wins over UNC, a win over Duke, and all the other preseason wins (Alabama, coots, TCU, BSU). That'd have to be at least a 2 seed, yeah?
Or does the football school penalty cost them a couple spots?

I don't think we can get to a two. Even with all that you mentioned teams above us play games too. So we would need chaos above us to reach two. I am thinking the highest we could possibly climb is a 4 seed. Not even sure a 3 is possible.

Teams at the top have 6 losses, and like you said they have to play games too . . . 26-8 ACC Champs, 3-1 against UNC and Duke all away from home . . . to me anything less than a 2 would be a huge dis, but that's to be expected cuz . . . Clemson, football school, etc . . . but if they put you on the 4 line with that resume? That'd be ridiculous.

has taken a tumble as far as perception in the eyes of voters. I don't even know who is considered the dominant basketball conference now, maybe the Big East? Or, heaven forbid, because it would mean ESPN pushed their agenda on Amurica one more time, the SEC?

I would say # 2 seed possible depending on how the season plays out for other high level teams. I see a #3 seed as definite in that case, considering ending season on what would be a 9 game win streak!!

Why not a 2? Texas was 26-8 and a 2 last year.

I think a 3 seed is the absolute ceiling with a 4 being more likely (win out, win tourney). 7/8 is the floor if we lose 2 of 3 and one and done in the tourney.

Considering the lack of respect for Clemson, I think 4 seed. Probably would deserve a 3 seed, though.
