Hawkins should be in for Michael Greene. Greene’s swing is way off right now and Hawkins is killing it. Head scratcher

My only guess is Monte wanted to play the platoon since Green is a leftie. Who knows, he’s still trying to find that right lineup this year I think. Could take a couple more weekends to find out who should be starting each game ya know?

Well I agree it’s about finding the right lineups but that’s the whole point of playing bryar Hawkins who has been hitting the ball. The only way to find the right lineup is to play the guys that are hitting the ball in the moment. Hawkins is hitting .429. Just 3/7. Greene is hitting .160 and only has 4 hits. Not to mention he strikes out too much. It makes no sense. But hopefully I’ve complained enough and Michael Green will go three for three because of it

You’re right, Bryar is hitting the ball well. You’d have to think he gets at least 1 PA tonight if not more. His playing time tonight probably will be related to how well Kier and Green play because you’d think one of those 2 would be who he’d come in for.

Unless Greene has a good night, of scar brings in a lefty put hawkins at 1st, Byrd at 3rd, and Hall in RF. Or Hall in LF and slide kier to RF

And last game he almost had the right lineup except he had Matt Cooper in right field instead of Meredith. Then he starts Meredith and takes Hawkins out for Michael Greene Just because he’s a lefty. He can’t hit right now who cares. In the midweek game everybody in the lineup was hitting and then greene comes up and still can’t get a hit even though everybody else was. He’s just off right now and this series ain’t the time to give him a chance. Play the hot bat. Monte is too stubborn with these match ups. It’s no secret that 80% of the pinch-hitters he has sent to the plate in a big situation (due to matchups) has been a strike out
