I'm sure it was an honest mistake but it absolutely ruined the sandwich..I'll get on fine after this but I'll tell you, some men just want to watch the world burn

that is one of my pet peaves too. If a place even offers to put mayo on an Italian sub, I walk out on principle.

I was curious if you thanked him for it. I'm a "double-mayo" guy myself. And I prefer Duke's.

yeah I did, I'm sure he's had a long day of making sandwiches..and I hear great things about Duke's. Sometimes I go the european route and use mayo with my fries if I'm out of ketchup

A sandwich is not a sandwich without mayo, no matter the nationality of the sandwich.

that's just simply incorrect..I can wreck that logic without even trying..a peanut butter and jelly sandwich..that needs mayo according to your logic right?

No that's why you go oil and vinegar on an Italian hoagie! Mayo shouldn't touch meats like capicola, prosciutto, salami - mayo is fine for turkey, tuna, ham/cheese, etc.

look, I won't question your personal tastes. if you like mayo, that's fine. but if it's too dry, then you put on oil and extra vinegar (if you need it not to be so dry)..my grandma is sicilian and she would disown me if she saw me dumping mayo on an italian sub

We live in a world of mistakes and we all pray for mercy, but you're making too much 'naise about this. Duke's is simply Southern Style olive oil. Mayo' sandwich be delicious.

I really was just throwing it out there, it's not like I gave the guy a hard time or anything and I did eat the sandwich..but mayo is just simply not put on italian subs..my grandmother is from sicily and she would slap me across the face if she saw me eat a italian sandwich with mayo

White people are SO sensitive about their ethnicity.
A little mayo and the Sicilians go crazy. A little umbrella on top of a beer and the Germans declare war. Sangria with lunch and the French are up in arms. Anything spicy and the Brits call you are a 'native' and you know what they mean by that.

I'm with it all of that but I wouldn't call sicilians white per se..they're like a mix of spanish/african and italian
