What kind of team is Strong leaving for Petrino?

Jan 9, 2014, 11:24 AM

Will Gardner will likely replace Teddy Bridgewater at QB. He only appeared in five games for the Cardinals this past season completing just 8 of 12 passes for 112 yards and 2 TD's.

I can't remember if Dominique is a Junior or Senior but if he is a senior, Louisville would be losing both of its top RB's for the 2014 season.

Louisville returns two of its top four WR's for 2014 including top receiver DeVonte Parker although Parker may have a change of heart now that Strong is leaving Louisville for Texas.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Don't think their offense will be very good

The question is whether their defense can continue what they were doing last year. I don't really know what they have coming back, though.

Their defensive talent isn't anything special...

jut run of the mill, but they were very well coached. I expext the defense to be good, but they'll definietely take a hit with Strong and Bedford gone.

With Petrino the offense will be effective. Hopefully we

Don't know about the team, but Charlie left his Harley, and Bobby is hiring a dozen new secretaries!

Losing Bridgewater and 3 senior starters on offense and 4 senior starters on defense.

I would be surprised if they end up lower than #3 in the Atlantic next year. Strong didn't recruit at a super-high level, but it was decent enough. People are blending Petrino's personal mistakes with his coaching ability too much. Yes he's been a bit of a sleazebag off the field/professionally, but this guy is one of the ten best coaches in the nation.

Mountain Card...

A Louisville fan on TNet? Welcome. I think you will find the ACC won't be as easy as the big east or AAC. Ask Syracuse and Pitt. But good luck.
