Deer Mr. Radakovich........

in the name of all that is good and holy, please DO NOT hire Randy Mazey as Clemson's next baseball coach.
If you wanted a coach who does not play for/win championships, you could have simply retained Jack Leggett.
I knew Randy when he was a student at Clemson and while he is a good guy, IMO, from a coaching standpoint, this is not an improvement but rather a step down from Jack Leggett.
Just my .02 cents.

Yea I mean unless they know something we don't, I hope this doesn't become a deal where we just hire the first guy that fits and go with it... His record at WV just doesn't make me feel great about it but who knows. I just feel like we could get someone more proven and I am like you...that makes no sense to let Jack go with one year and take all this heat to go out and hire someone that has done nothing yet.

You'd have to get him to come though.

Doesn't he have Scar ties? If so, he may just wait until the buzzards start to circle up there.

He was an assistant at Chicken Central for six years.....

before becomming the head coach at C of C.
He is from the upstate originally (Spartanburg I believe) and a C of C alum.
He was also an assistant coach at Spartanburg Methodist for a couple of years.
There is always the chance he could decline the opportunity (although I highly doubt it), but you won't know unless you ask.

President Clements seems like a good addition to Clemson. Didn't he come from WVU?

He did. But I stand by my post. Prefer a Clemson man heading the University actually.

Would be a great hire. WVA was a dumpster fire when he arrived so simply looking at his win loss record is shorted sited at best. The word of the day is context.

I also agree Mazey would be a quality hire. Just go back and take a look at WVUs "stadium" when he was hired. It was awful. He started from belwo grund u there.

Randy Mazey has done worst than Jack in the past 3 years, and has done worst his last two years at WVU than he done in his first year. So I really don't see how his name ever came up period.
