When he said we wouldn’t have been here without DJ . We wouldn’t have been “here” , we’d be headed to the playoffs.

Always good to hear from another TNet fan who knows more than Dabo. Why keep your brilliance to yourself? Graham Neff needs your wisdom.
Only the idiots who blamed DJU for last season's mediocre offense performance (those same idiots who didn't realize that we had NO OTHER VIABLE OPTION outside of DJU at QB) continue with their blind hatred of the guy.
I'm thrilled that Cade was ready and played brilliantly tonight.
But he sure as heck showed that he wasn't ready against N.Dame.
Against Syracuse (as Todd Blackledge said), Cade handed the ball off against a pooped Syracuse team, and he showed that he wasn't ready against N.Dame. The handoffs were good, he had a few nice scampers, and he threw a great 2 pt. conversion. But his passing against a mediocre Syracuse defense showed that he was only viable (at that time) when DJU just wasn't cutting it.
Maybe Cade was ready to play against S.Carolina.
But as Dabo said, we don't get the ACC Championship game without DJU.

First off no one hates dj, last year we had no other options i get it but this year I think fans are just upset he didn’t get a fair shot …
Second of you are saying he wasn’t ready against ND bc he was thrown in on the road down 21 or whatever it was on our own 5 yard line and we call the swordtail possible play call for a young qb ever rolling him out to his left and all his options were agaisnt his body…. That’s a dumb comment I’m sorry , no one knows how ready he was bc he never got a fair shot and honestly most any other coach in America would have had him starting or atleast have him in a few series after he lead us back in the cuse game

Inserted him three times inside the 10-yard line, including the appearance at ND. He extends play on two-point conversion against Syracuse. Did all they could to avoid a quarterback controversy. Not going to be able to stop it now. The lid is off. DJ was a space filler, not a play maker. You could feel the tension every time he got the football. His performance against South Carolina was embarrassing to watch. Somebody needed to help him. But help never came. I refuse to look backwards. What's done is done. But it was obvious tonight after two series and passes being thrown all over the place, it was time to try something else. And CK rose to the moment. Hopefully, the controversy will take care of itself when DJ enters the portal.

Simply criticizing his play and having the opinion that there may be a better option isn't "hatred."
He just doesn't have that "it" factor and the spark Cade has. The dude one hopped a screen pass and he visibly shakes and is too timid.....but he IS a great kid. Criticizing his play doesn't mean anyone hates him.

You know Taisun Phommachanh played QB against UNC for GT and they won right? He is now and was all of last season, a better QB than DJU. The "no other option" narrative is a lie now and was a lie then. The question is why do they keep doing it?

Not sure if DJ has ever been ready...production was so poor last year that it was depressing...in the spring game he was the same old DJ and this year he has been pitiful at times...DJ was no D1 QB...at least Cade could smell like one...for all you doubters...go look at Cades HS tapes...that's what we saw last night...he may have been there all along and needed 1st team reps...he has arrived now!

I don't need to be a mechanic to know there is something wrong when my truck won't run. Most of the people on here were guessing what was wrong but we knew that it was something. However, up until this game very little was changed in an effort to fix things.

You sure you are watching the correct foot ball post-game?! Dabo specifically said they put Cade in in a horrible situation at ND and it was their mistake. No blame on Cade there.

Actually, as halftime Dabo said they gave him a chance at Notre Dame, but he threw a pick. Then, just make sure everyone was clear, his first post-game comment was, "he just wasn't ready at Notre Dame." "He grew up tonight, but just wasn't ready at Notre Dame."
