I can't say that I am, ESECPN is without a doubt my least liked sports shows, and looking at the way they so easily put teams ahead us that's done nothing in a decade didn't come to be a shock to me, actually that's what I was expecting from them!!! But it is laughable with everybody knowing that Clemson's down fall the past two seasons was 90% bc of DJ's inability to get the ball into the hands of our offensive players that move the ball down field. Suck it ESECPN!!!

You waste time watching sports shows? Shame on you. Everyone knows they're all just awful noise talking heads without brains. What next? Admitting to calling into the Paul Finebaum show? You'd learn more by watching girl gymnastics or water polo.
Oh, and which was it? DJ or OC? I'm confused now.

I'm sure we'll get great reports out of summer practice but we won't know until we see it on the field. Does this team have the will to gut out wins. Do we have a player on offense that can put the team on his back and make the big play or are there guys waiting on someone else to make the play. Those are the intangibles that I"m not sure anyone knows at this point. Which we had back in the Watson and Lawrence years. An undefeated or one loss team will be required to make a playoff bid. The ACC is perceived as a cakewalk so we can't be a 2 loss team, maybe even can't be a 1 loss team. We also need our opponents to be ranked.

Spring games aren't a valid measurement of no one.

Absolutely nothing was learned about how good we are based on Saturday. Wasn't even remotely the intention of that glorified practice.
Clemson is one of the top 5 teams in America. Bet me.

I'm still working on my own poll, but Ohio State at #1? Wow, what's that about? Michigan will beat them for the 3rd year in a row and count it right now. This poll is garbage. Alabama QB is also garbage. He's not even close to being ready unless Saban held him back last season when the starter was out. I'm not complaining about where they have my guys, but I would at least reverse us and y'all. I have y'all at #5 right now and that may change as I study more in the evenings ahead
I'm just surprised these scrubs don't have USC #1 because of the medias love affair with Lincoln Riley and the Trojans no matter how good they really are Another surprise is OU not being in the top 2. They love OU better than about any program not located in the SEC areas.
Michigan is loaded this next year. Check out their spring game and QBs, RBs, total offensive returners and overall. They have some quality transfers from the portal, as well. Say what you want about Stanford football since Christian McCaffrey moved on, but they have quality in their OL year after year and Michigan plucked two starters from the Cardinal. They return every good player on offense except at TE and they have young talent there, too. Mr Khaki pants that most of you hate has gotten it together of late and he's kicked a knot in the Ohio State noggin of late. The MIchigan backup RB ran through the Ohio State defense like a knife through butter and had over 200 yards and everyone is back
Michigan RB would have won Hypesman if not being injured early in the rivalry game and he will be primed

Texas? at #5? Really? 8-5 last year and lost their best player. Last won 10 games in 2018, and really haven't finished anywhere close to the top 5 since 2009.

Now, this is just stupid nonsense. Arch was never going to be a factor this year because as everyone in the country outside of your little corner of Hooterville, knows that the family wanted him to redshirt this season and not be fed to the wolves immediately.
Try and keep up, Arnold.

I do see your point, but you don't have all the details either so I will leave my insults for others.
Texas does return 10 of 11 starters on offense and has 5 RBs coming back, or in. They have some talent there, so no big deal plus one of the very best in the country in Baxter who was an early enrollee. Defense is vastly improved even over last year and last year they shut down TCU which you got your OC from, obviously. A lot of guys coming back on that side of the ball as well including their best 2 of 3 players, and they just got a transfer from the Big 10 that will help a lot.
There's many other factors involved with college football as you should also know. Plus, one year is not always related to the following years and you should hope so with that because Clemson has struggled the past couple of years.
Unlike you, I don't hate your guys and I am saying Clemson starts around #5 and works their way up and makes a playoff again. Just have a good feeling on that and I'm often pretty close on my predictions
I think a top 10 might be justified here unless Sark starts drinking again and gets fired or some other really bad luck happens. They've also struggled with officiating and that's pretty much an excuse, but when the LA Times notices then there's a problem and you are welcome to watch any and all game film and tell me the guy from LA is wrong.
Have a great day

Thanks for the reasonable response. That many returning starters certainly helps. I understand that last year doesn't have all that much effect on this year (especially in college), but to expect significantly different results with a similar team seems pretty optimistic.
I think every team feels like they get screwed by the refs. Ultimately, it comes down to learning how to close out and win those close games.
Every year we hear "Texas is back", then they figure out a way to lose 2-3 that they shouldn't.
We shall see if they can live up to expectations
