short of the marker, and hoping the WR can "break a tackle" is a good play call.

Especially if your WR is not AJ Brown

This has been going on for several years now. Also, 3rd and 4 and you throw a 30 yard incomplete pass. Boggles the mind.

Sometimes that is not what is called. Sometimes the deep receiver is covered, and the only option is to throw short.

how about third down and 4 to go and call a 50 yard pass. This is not even a good peewee ball. Slim chance to connect on a 50 yard pass.

15 yard line. In that situation the best options is usually going to be taking the ~10 yards and punting. I don't understand throwing 4-5 yards on 3rd and 9.
