I’m def not claiming to know any more than any other Clemson baseball fan … but my opinion is the staff will continue to evolve and will prob be shuffled around before it’s set near the middle of acc play. I think a lot depends on Knaak and how he continues to develop and get more comfortable and also if he hits any type of freshman wall through the season. Barlow seems to be getting it together too so I would think Tristan moving to fri (been the most consistent) then you have Gordon and knaak. That’s a pretty good weekend rotation but if you throw Barlow in there and even Darden imo was a good starter for us last year. The kid from wofford was a starter too so we have options there but biggest thing I think in acc play is having a closer we can depend on. Our staff is taught to pitch to contact so there will be games when we give up a lot of runs, just comes with that philosophy but big picture I like it. This teams power has really surprised me and if we can ever get cam healthy I think this team is VERY VERY deep and versatile with the infield especially. We will know a lot this weekend.

Same here, I definitely won’t pretend to know more than the casual fan but I also have watched a lot more than the usual amount of our baseball games thus far and can only form an opinion based on what I’ve noticed! But Tristan is the real deal, and like you said I am so glad knack is getting some experience in early while we had room for error! If he continues to progress like he has he could be awesome! After that it gets pretty tricky trying to find a third weekend starter, Gordon and Barlow haven’t looked as good in totality as you’d expect for a weekend guy on a top 10 team, but Barlow did just throw 9 k’s during the midweek! So let’s hope he’s found his groove and continues with that momentum!! If this isn’t the case then I have to agree that our next best pitcher who could handle that the best would probably be Darden!! He has been spectacular in middle relief but I just don’t know how much strain that would put on our pen as a whole! Definitely think Hughes and marchal can handle themselves well, and Clayton should as well!! I would also hope Harris can come along and become a nice option to come in and close some innings out!

But I am also pleasantly surprised with how our bats have turned out to be the foundation of our teams success so far!! Prof will be in the pudding of our acc schedule if this can hold true! Haha, but overall very pleased with how our boys have fared and just really happy with bakich!!!
