Hi, everyone!

Long time listener, first time caller.

Have a bit of a strange question.

I found a company that sells retro college basketball apparel and thought these 1979-80 throwbacks were pretty cool.

However, I haven’t seen any indication that the basketball team wore purple in the late 70’s/early 80’s.

So I guess the question is, did the team wear purple jerseys that season, or just home white and road orange?

I believe it was mostly white at home and orange on the road with navy trim. If they had a dark road jersey it was probably navy. Purple didn't make its glorious return until the early 90's.

Used to be white at home and on the road was orange. In the 70's it was mostly orange and white . Almost no blue or purple accents

I was very young but I remember mainly Orange and White for most of the 70's in football. Seemed like a little Navy came into play in football with Ford. I remember those Navy away game basketball unis. Always looked too much like Auburn. Hatfield really brought the purple back in the early 90's.

I don’t remember them wearing blue that early but found a pic of Clark Bynum in blue and I know he played in 82-83.
