Firstoft, I have never met JGB.

We have a common passion that is way more better than golf called fishing.

So you may all know or read that I like to fish. I also like to fish lights at night. These lights can draw in lots of big fish that make for a fun evening that doesn't involve your significant other.

Well the other week JGB and I were discussing lights and I said you need to get you one for the dock down yonder. JGB later procures and installs a light for his dock for fishing.

Without doing a copy/pasta of our very personal tmale, he gave me a cliffsnotes story slash question that went something like this. (Quotes are not real).

"Hey, what are your thots on light fishing etiquette? The reason I ask is because these two guys came up to the dock and started fishing when I had lines in the water." I walked down there to check the lines and spoke to them.....but they shouldn't be fishing when I'm fishing right?"

I'm like yeah, they probably shouldn't fish if you have lines out. But if you aren't there, they are probably going to fish around your lines. But if you come down, they should say thank you sir, have a good night, and then roll out.

JGB uses the terms rednecks and jerks. And I'm all YUP!

Fastforward to yesterday morning. It is after church and I am standing in the welcome center. A feller I speak to occasionally says he went fishing the other night. (You know where this is going). He says they was out on the lake the other night and noticed a light nearby. They jumped in the boat and went over to the light. They start fishing even though there are some lines in the water. He says some lady screams from up at the house "They're fishing our light!". He said they caught 4 or 5 hybrids and a fine strong lookin man walks down to check the lines. He says this guy is super nice and he tells him "I think you got a fish on that line over there".

He also tells me he's a yankee. Is that true JGB?

So there were 2 fellers on the boat. The older gentleman is a police officer. The younger guy is in college and is likely a future son-in-law to the older dude. I took the younger guy fishing back in February and exposed him to the night scene.

This story may not be that great, but I find it incredibly coincidental.
