Sooo sad to see my former hometown player leaving Clemson! His great grandfather AD Chick Amick a Tiger, his grandfather Billy Amick chairman of CU BOT, his mother for sure a CU grand not sure about his NASCAR dad… so sad he is leaving the legacy totally supported by CU fans! His family owned a business near us in Batesburg for generations! Sold but all should be fine. I think his great grandfather may have passed away at CU on a game day weekend. Sad day and not sure why he decided to leave CU.

Sad to see the Amick legacy end. I knew his grandfather, and he was a great BOT leader.

His grandfather was on the BOT when Lennon was President of Clemson. Lennon was very antisports. He lead the bot to fire ford.

I think that this is an issue of a little tampering with a young player that feels hurt from the Tennessee loss. He is a key piece to rebuilding this program. Personally I could care less of his grandfather's supposed role in the Ford firing. Backich has met with him and is trying to make this right. Billy is wanted at Clemson because he is a great player. That and his family is all Clemson. I have a feeling that this will work out. True Clemson fans should turn the frustration into a full court press of re-recruiting this guy. That's the answer. Keeping him sends a message that there is something in those hills and not even illegal tampering and NIL can stop Clemson!!
