Wrong board
Besides that our team is really legit, it always seems like football and basketball may have an inverse correlation with each other. Meaning it seems when football is good, basketball doesn’t keep up. And kind of vice versa. During the legit Oliver Purcell years in late 2000s, football was finding its success. Could be a coincidence, but it would make sense that disappointed football fans will put some hope into basketball and bring more energy to basketball. As well as baseball.
But anyways, this team has 3 near professional level scorers. Hall, Chase Hunter, and Joe Girard. And who knows which of the other players will bring more points, but I think we have great depth with Wiggins, Scheffelin, Jack Clark (NC State transfer), RJ Godfrey, HEALTHY Hemenway, Heidbreder, etc.
This is a tournament team with great experience. There are reliable shooters with really physical bodies down low. As well as quick big men. There’s a lot of pace with this team. As well as the chemistry built, they are all just very quick with their assignments.
Love how we played last year. It was excellent. But it ended up being those early season slip ups that ruined us. And it’s not easier this year, playing Maryland/Dayton, at Alabama, TCU, etc.
I see a 25-6 record honestly. Losses to Alabama, at Miami, at FSU, at Duke, at GT, at Syracuse. Going 11-2 through the Miami game, it will then start to roll. Taking care of most early season non conference, get on a roll, and then lose a few randomly maybe because of lack of motivation or injuries.
But I see a tournament appearance as a top-4 ACC team. Biggest obstacle is the ACC itself. Miami off of a final 4, and the usual top teams are there.
But if you do not think Clemson basketball has established itself as an ACC contender every year, you really don’t pay attention to it.
Ready to see a lot of energy at the games this year. Clemson fans need it.

We were a decent team last year. Then we wind up being the #1 seed in the NIT and we lost to little ole
Morehead State AT HOME in the first game. I'm done with Brownell.

I do pay attention to it, so I know that it has NEVER been an ACC contender (well, that ONE time under OP we played for the ACC championship, and that ONE time we won the ACC regular season under Cliff Ellis), and hence cannot possibly have established itself as a contender.
It is shaping up to look like one of the better teams, personnel-wise, than we have fielded in a long time, but until we stop losing to Morehead State, et al., I won't hold my breath.

Dead on. Never won the regular season under Brad. Never even made an ACC final. A post like the OP’s loses all credibility when it engages in such hyperbole. He also goes on to say we’ll make the NCAA as a top 4 ACC team. Uh, we were 3rd last year and didn’t make it. So being a top 4 ACC team demonstrably means squat.
