When I got my diploma in 1970, I was, like, this is it? Four years for this? My Spartanburg High School diploma looked better than that cheap thing. Surely they made enough money off us to give us nice-looking diplomas, something worth framing!

Those are props the actual diploma is mailed to the students. At least that was the case with my daughter in 22

In 2010 they handed us ours in the binder on the spot. Took immense organization I thought. We could get it in the mail but that was only for folks who didn’t want to walk. I remember taking mine downtown after graduation straight to the frame shop.

When I got mine in 1992 it was the real thing in a navy pleather folder, I remember because I looked inside to actually make sure I was graduating…
