Nah. He was serviceable, that's about it. By the end of the year he was the 3rd best LB on the roster. We have a guy coming back from injury that was ahead of him, and we're bringing in a couple of guys are that better athletes. He was very likely to lose his starting job next year.

As you said he may lose his starting position, but a lack of depth can hurt, especially with experienced LB's.

Don't disagree with you there. He was forced into PT as a true freshman due to injuries, and again this year to injuries.

Seems like there is a tend set that would lead one to believe that you will need this guy.

Ok, I'll say this...he's a body for when more talented guys get hurt. But he played hard and by all accounts was a good kid.
