Air Raid offense

Is our “Air Raid” offense hurting our RB recruiting? I know college RBs don’t get as many avg touches per game as they did in yester year, but our offense seems to give them fewer than most.
I could be wrong, but I don’t think so without doing the research.

this offseason. For sure, he will be on trial next year. And if things flounder early, there could be some internal revampification that happens DURING the season.

Ha. We don't have an air raid offense! We don't have a ground game offense. We have no identity, other than a "let's see what is working and then go the other direction offense". If the run game is getting 5-7 yards a play, stop that and go to the pass attack. If they are stuffing the run, but the field is open to exploit the middle, let's pound it up the middle. That's our approach...there is no RAID of any type.

I don't understand play calls. For instance in the Orange Bowl we have 3rd and 7. Cade drops way back and throws it 20 for an incompletion. A much lower percentage pass when we need 7 yards to move the sticks. We did that numerous times this year.

No. We have an RPO focused offense that relies heavily on our QB to run. Thus, taking away rushes from the 2nd RB and asking any RB to catch the ball as well. Unfortunately, it asks the Oline to block in a way that they never really become road graders when we need them. You see that a ton on 3rd/4th down and short yardage plays. For some reason it also limits use of the TE across the middle and wastes valuable snaps running bubble screens in the direction of WRs that are horrible at sustaining a block. Did I miss anything?
