That’s what I say! His loss. Just tells me he wasn’t clemson material. When I met a lot of the new enrollees back in February they all said the same thing to me… we didn’t come here for money. We know it’s there in the NIL if we need it but we came here to win championships and be apart of something bigger. Man Dabo finding these kids like a needle in the haystack but I’m so thankful we are finding kids like this. All these me players vs team players will win games for us more often than not

It didn't last long for him. But if you think about it, we really can't blame him for not pulling the trigger for attending Clemson bc his chances of becoming a starter at Clemson any time before his senior year was very slim. With the experience and time within the FB program he would have been pretty far behind Cade and Vizzina unless he proved to be a Trevor Lawrence type talent, and I haven't heard or read of him being anything close to that same circle of talent coming out of HS!!!

I read that he didn’t have an offer from OSU before his visit and it was one he was waiting on and they offered him there. I don’t think it was about NIL, but more so Ryan Day and his offense and the huge numbers the QBs out up throwing to the best WR corp in CFB (per recruiting rankings) the last 4 years. NIL could be a factor but this feels more like him going where he thinks he’ll put up the biggest numbers, and sooner since there is no established starter there even though they have a handful of highly rated QBs.

This is my thought too -- Ohio State's offense looked WAY more exciting than Clemson's offensive product the last 2 years (and, honestly, you could probably even say 3 years as ETN and TLs last year we saw the cracks in the infrastructure but made it to the playoffs anyway).
That said, signing day is still a ways off. I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson's O looks really good this year that folks may wanna flip to Clemson later.
Of course, I can't say for sure that another QB may not already commit by then and ultimately close the 2024 cycle but I'm on board with 2025 would be our must sign period for a good QB prospect.

Money can be A contributing factor if you are considering Clemson, but it can't be THE deciding factor.
